Officers Searching for Two Suspects in Hopewell Business Robbery

HOPEWELL, Va. (WWBT) - The Hopewell Police Department is actively searching for two individuals who robbed a business on Oaklawn Boulevard on Saturday afternoon.

Just before 1:30 p.m., officers responded to a call reporting a robbery at Grand Amanecer De Oriente Latino Market and Deli.

According to the police, two masked and armed suspects entered the store and assaulted an employee, who sustained injuries. The department has not disclosed the extent of the employee’s injuries.

The suspects held the employee at gunpoint while taking an undisclosed amount of money and electronics from the business.

After the robbery, the two individuals fled the scene in a car heading east.

At this time, the police have not released any descriptions or details about the suspects.
