Most teams that have improved through free agency and hold high draft picks were poor performers last season, but that is not the case for the Los Angeles Rams. Despite coming close to the Super Bowl, the Rams currently rank as the fourth-best team in offseason improvement according to the "NFL Offseason Improvement Index" by Unexpected Points.
Only the Browns, Jets, and Titans rank ahead of the Rams after Los Angeles traded for Trent McDuffie, signed Jaylen Watson, and still retained the 13th overall pick in the upcoming draft.
The Rams are expected to remain one of the frontrunners to reach the next Super Bowl, which will be held in their own stadium next season.

By addressing their biggest need with the McDuffie trade and Watson signing, Los Angeles aims to complement an offense led by reigning MVP Matthew Stafford and top receiver Puka Nacua. Additionally, due to Les Snead’s trade last year acquiring a 2026 first-round pick from the Falcons, the Rams still hold a top-15 draft pick even after trading for McDuffie and signing him to a $124 million contract.
On the other hand, the Seattle Seahawks rank as having the second least-improved offseason. Seattle has parted ways with several key free agents, including Kenneth Walker (Chiefs), Coby Bryant (Bears), Boye Mafe (Bengals), and Riq Woolen (Eagles).
The Rams anticipate that when they next face the Seahawks—whether twice in the regular season or potentially in another NFC Championship rematch—their offseason improvements will prove decisive. With just over a month until the draft, many believe Los Angeles could now be the team to beat.
