Juventus v Inter, Iuliano: "The Bastoni-Kalulu Incident Overshadows My Own with Ronaldo"

Mark Iuliano, former Juventus defender, spoke to Stile TV about the recent controversial video-review incident involving Juventus’ Pierre Kalulu and Inter’s Alessandro Bastoni during the 3-2 Inter victory over Juventus on February 14. He compared it to his own well-known incident with the Brazilian star Ronaldo in the 1997–98 Juventus vs. Inter match.

“My incident with Ronaldo is part of a different story,” Iuliano said. “Perhaps this recent incident overshadows it because of Alessandro Bastoni’s reaction after the dive, which caused a great deal of outrage. After deceiving the referee, he went on to celebrate, going against every principle of fair and honest sport.”
