Port Charlotte, Fla. – The Stevens Institute of Technology baseball team lost two games to DeSales University to open Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom play on Saturday.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Picking up Friday's suspended game, neither team scored until the 10th inning. The Bulldogs scored an unearned run in the 10th, capitalizing on two singles and a throwing error. The Ducks were unable to respond in the bottom of the inning, going down in order.
In game two, after a scoreless first inning, the Bulldogs recorded two consecutive hits to take a 1-0 lead in the second. Stevens tied the game in the bottom of the third when Justin Zachery walked and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by Edward (E.J.) Balewitz Jr. Zachery later scored, leveling the game at one.
DeSales regained the lead with a solo run in the fourth and broke the game open with four runs on four hits in the fifth. The Bulldogs added four more runs in the sixth.
